It’s spring harvest time for any of you who wish to collect herbs out there. 🌿🌺🌿
After making it through the cold and dreary months of winter ☃️, my heart is singing with excitement as the days will start to become longer and warmer and we see more and more of that beautiful sunshine! 🌞 Plants are already starting to turn green. I have noticed it already starting to climb up the little bushes at the base of the forests There may still be some cold days ahead of us, but I do believe we are through the thick of it! 😊
With spring in the air, the roots of many herbal plants (weeds to most people) make some of the strongest tinctures and teas for colds. I typically harvest Dandelion roots, Yellow Dock, Stinging Nettle, Echinacea, and Burdock root around this time of year. 🌿
You want to collect them in this early spring weather before the flower and plant parts start to flourish. The root is where the plant stores all of its nutrition for the winter, so those babies are full and plump right now and the ground is so soft. Perfect timing for getting them out!!! 😍
If you’re an herb collector, share with me what herbs you collect this time of year. 😊 Blessings my friends!! ❤
